I think this is similar to what in the US was sold as a Suzuki Samurai, isn't it? If so, look for a lever in the back of the glove compartment. Why would they put it there? Well, the glove compartment can be locked, so even if you are running without a top or without doors, you can still keep your engine compartment semi-secured. Paul.

Release the main bonnet catch on the steering wheel column. Push the bonnet catch in the front grill once and it'll come out half way, then pull the half out catch to open the bonnet.

the catch is on the undernath left of the sign when standing in front of the car. it is a plastic catch flush with the bonnet. work along from centre pushing up and you will open bonnet. catch is different to a convential car as it is flush with bonnet and made of plastic.

Hi,Hope you've worked it out by now, but the bonnet release catch is in the passenger glove compartment, on a RHD car, its on the upper left corner of the glove box. Its a really bad place to be -took me a while to find mine too!
