To change the ignition switch in a 2001 Daewoo Leganza, first disconnect the negative battery terminal to ensure safety. Remove the steering column cover by unscrewing the screws, then carefully detach the ignition switch connector. Unscrew the old ignition switch, install the new one, and reconnect the connector. Finally, reassemble the steering column cover and reconnect the battery.
The Daewoo had NO transponder on any of their vehicles from 1999-2002. Incorrect. The Daewoo Leganza had a transponder option in 2001+, as did the Lanos. The Nubria had a transponder option in 2000+.
On the fire wall.
If you're standing in front of the car by the radiator, its to the left of the battery. It looks like this http://www.partstrain.com/ShopByDepartment/EGR_Valve/DAEWOO/LEGANZA
Pull the radio out. On top of the radio there is a 4 digit number that's how you unlock it.. My car is a 2001 Leganza daewoo and the number is 4316.
You will probably need to visit your local Daewoo dealership for help.
Mounted on top and inside the fuel tank.
