The camshaft position sensor is right under the power steering pump. Remove the power steering pump to access the sensor.
The crank shaft position sensor is located behind the harmonic balancer/crank shaft pully on the front of the engine. You can see the wires for the sensor run behinf the pully into a plastic housing.

It is below the injection pump, in the back of the timing cover.
Check the 2001 Grand Ams crank shaft position sensor first. If the sensor is bad then the engine will not get fire or start.

Cam shaft position sensor is on a rear of cylinder head -- you will see one of two cams protruding farther to the back than the other. The "blob" on its end is the cam shaft position sensor. Tightening torque for mounting bolts: 19 - 25 lb-in (1.9 - 2.6 N·m)
