There are three in the Armory. Click on one to load the cannon, then get a lit candle from the fireplace to fire the cannon (three times). The first shot goes out the window, the second shot rolls into the Library, and the third shot shoots a hole in the armory ceiling.
Use the ball that rolls into the library to wilt the wolfsbane: put it near the fire to get red hot, then pick up the Poker from the fireplace to push it left into the dumbwaiter (hole in the wall). You can pull the lever in the lab to bring the hot cannonball out again.
