This would depend on the well type, deep well, shallow well, free flow well - you would need to be more specific. But the basics are: suction tube from the well, check valve to keep well primed, pump, bladder tank to create pressure and that's about it.

A foot valve, in relation to a water well, is a check valve at he bottom of a well to keep the water from running back into the well from the pump when the pump is not running. If the check valve does not hold the water the pump will lose it's prime and will not pump water.

You have a leak somewhere. Good chance it is a leaking check valve, located either at the pump, and at the end of the pipe down the well.
PCV valve is located in the valve cover. start engine, allow to idle. disconnect pcv valve from valve cover and feel for vaccum. If you feel vaccum good, if not trouble shoot system. Pcv valve dirty, hose clogged or cracked, etc. check the rubber grommet in valve cover for deteriation, replace if necessary. if the old pcv valve is clogged the the hose may be as well, clean w/ solvent. install new valve and reconnect.
2005 Town and Country: my egr valve caused my check engine light to come on and the vehicle would miss at around 20mph to 30mph and occasionally stall while driving at neighborhood speeds as well. After replacing valve, no problems have been reported and the check engine light went off. the egr valve is located in the front of the engine with the mounting bolts behind the alternator.
