Best Answer

The clock spring would be inside the plastic steering column cover

( it allows you to turn the steering wheel without " breaking " the wiring connection to your horn and steering wheel mounted cruise control buttons )

You have an broken wire in the clock spring.

Which relay under the hood on a 97 ford Aerostar controls horn and cruise control?

I'm not a mechanic / technician but if your horn and cruise control stopped working at the same time , it might be the clock-spring inside your steering wheel column cover . The clockspring allows a person to turn the steering wheel while still maintaining the electrical connections to your horn and cruise control buttons

Can somebody tell you why your cruise control and horn on your 94 aerostar quit working and how to fix it tried fuses no luck?

I had that problem and had to replace the clock spring in the steering wheel. It's a coil of flat wire that breaks.

Is the clock spring and cruise control on the same electrical circuit on a 97 windstar?

The clock spring allows you to turn the steering wheel without disconnecting the wiring to the cruise control buttons and horn in your steering wheel If your horn and cruise control don't work the clockspring is probably broken ( P.S. I'm not a mechanic / technician but my money would be on that guess )

What type of work is done to affect your cruise control and horn not to work?

There is a part called a clock spring located in the dash board and it controls both the horn and the cruise control. I had it replace on my Plymouth voyager and they both work fine now. There was a RECALL for airbags which fixes this very problem - they should fix it for you

What does the clock spring control?

A clockspring controls the air bag, cruise control and the horn. I had mine replaced. On a Grand Caravan Dodge.

Why is the horn on a 1995 Ford Escort LX not working?

could be a bad clock spring which is located behind the steering wheel. if it is a bad clock spring your airbag light should be on and a bad clock spring usually takes out your cruise control if you have it, or a fuse could be bad or the horns could be bad

Is there a fuse or relay for 99 grand caravan cruise control.. light on dash not working but airbag and horn work fine..I don't think its the clock spring?

I believe there is no fuse just for the cruise control. The cruise control circuit is covered by the PCM. However, I would check the switches on the brake pedal.
