The Coco Solo Naval Air Station was located on the Atlantic Coast (East of the City of Colon) in what was the Panama Canal Zone, along with the Submarine Base. These facilities were turned over to the Panama Canal Government in 1958, when these bases were decommissioned (shut down by the Navy).
The Coco Solo facilities, along with all the other facilities of the Panama Canal Zone, were turned over to the Panamanian Government as of October 2000. Presently, it is now known as The Manzanillo International Terminal.

Coco Solo Air Base was located in the former Panama Canal Zone. It was situated on the eastern side of the Panama Canal, near the city of Colón. The air base ceased operations in 1999 when the Panama Canal Zone was handed over to the Panamanian government.
