if it has a coil pack then there is a plate in top of the engine. it's the one that says quad 4, 2.4l or whichever motor you have. the should be two or for bolts holding it on. (depending on engine) the is a plug on one side of the plate. unplug that first the take out the bolts. just make sure not to crack the plate or your screwed! you coil pack is under the plate. it's all one piece.

How do you check a coil pack on a 2001 grand Cherokee?

To check a coil pack on a 2001 Grand Cherokee, first, ensure the engine is off and the keys are removed. Disconnect the electrical connector from the coil pack and remove it from the spark plug. Use a multimeter to test the primary and secondary resistance of the coil pack according to the specifications in the vehicle's service manual; if the readings are outside the recommended range, the coil pack may need replacement. Additionally, inspect for any visible damage or corrosion on the connectors.
