Next time please give us the year and engine size.
If you're talking about a DIS ignition system, follow the spark plug wires --they will lead you to the coil pack. If you have a newer vehicle, you probably have a COP (coil over plug) system and the coil is located directly above the spark plug.

coil packs are the actual plugs on top of the plug

The coil packs on the 4.6L are located in front of the engine. Follow the spark plug wires.
