Check the rear of the radiator approx. 1/3 down from the top Check the rear of the radiator approx. 1/3 down from the top
There is not a separate cooling fan sensor, it controlled by the ECM which get it's reading from the ECT (engine coolant temp sensor)
Should start the auxilliary cooling fan
coolant temp sensor, wiring, relay, bad fan motor
Yes, but it is not recommended to run straight water in the cooling system.
In the 3 gen camaro's they have a lot of "lost of ground" problems. Try checking for ground wires under hood near the firewall. if you loose the ground the sensors will not work proplary...
Problem with the temp sensor.
the coolant temp sensor on an iroc-z camaro assuming your engine is stock is located below and a little to the left of the maf (mass air flow sensor). it should be pointing down and threaded into the top of the water pump hope this helps.
Yes, a Dodge Neon has a coolant temperature sensor.
Yes. A bad or failing temp sensor prevents the ECM from monitoring, and adjusting for, the engine temperature.
the one for the cooling fan is on the right head towards the rear(hard to remove most times). theres two more on the intake manifold by the thermostat housing
operates the temperature gauge Activates the cooling fan
