Right under the intake manifold with the raised "3400" on it
The 1997 Chevy crankshaft sensor can be found on the back of the engine. You will need to remove the rear engine cover in order to access the crankshaft sensor.
i have a 1999 grand am se with a 3400 sfi and it's under air intake on the thermostat bellhousing hope this help you out. good luck
yes.. i have a 99 grand am gt come stock 3400 and i put a 3100 in it.. runs perfect..
If you mean engine and drive train parts....yes.
You mean the MAP (Manifold Absolute Pressure) sensor. On the 3400 engine it is located on the top of the engine, behind the aluminum intake. Open the hood and look at the intake (stamped 3400). Directly behind is the MAP sensor. It has a small 1" hose connected directly to the intake, as well as a weatherpak connector. It is approximately 3" X 1" and is black in color. Someone should answer for the 3800 engine.
yes you can use the 3400 in your car if it has the 3100 in it, just take the intake off of the 3100 and use it on the 3400 and install back into the car. works fine, i just done it to my 1999 grand prix, it gave it more power and the CPU will adjust the settings for you.
around 3400 lbs. The exact figure depends on which engine, options, etc., but generally about 3400 lbs.

I added a link for you to check out. It's not a direct swap, but yes it can be done fairly easily. This is for a 3400 in a Sunbird/Cavalier, but most of the information will pertain to your Grand Am also.
Yes, there is a diagram available for the 2000 Pontiac Grand AM SE 3400 engine sensors. It is found in the maintenance book bought at local auto part shops.
