Follow the front wire on the distributor and it will lead to the crank shaft position sensor. hope this helps..

It is in the oil pan. Nissan has had a recall to reprogram the sensor. They may have to replace the sensor for free. It cost about $600 for repair.

Can you please tell me where the location of the Crank Shaft Position Sensor is on a Nissan Pulsar N16 2000 model?
Yes, this is true for the 2.5 engine. The part # has been updated a number of times by Nissan and both cam and crank sensors are now the same part#.
I have a 2003 Altima that while traveling under 35 mph might shut down. Nissan says it is the crank shaft angle sensor thingy. Nissan will repair for $215.00 or your local mech. will do it for $191.00...KNOWN problem but no recall!
