The vehicle speed sensor which is an integral part of the speedometer
I believe it is a input speed sensor. Hyundai calls them pulse generators on the 99 elantra.
Behind the crank pulley
no spark, no start
Yes
you not need picture the sensor is next to the oil filter
Someone believes you should, "Take Your coolant tank off and the sensor is located under it. It's fairlly simple to replace once you find it."; You will find a sensor there but not the crankshaft sensor. On a 99 Intrigue with a 3.5L, the crankshaft position sensor is in the engine block just above and behind the starter. get under the car, remove the starter and you should find what you are looking for.
Back of the engine next to the coil packs.
That is where the crankshaft position sensor goes.
The crankshaft sensor for the 5.2L Chrysler models is on the transmission bell-housing. It is above the starter, I had to remove the starter in order to get to the sensor. After that it was a piece of cake.
just aside of the oil filter, threaded into the bottom front of block.
