The crankshaft sensor for the 5.2L Chrysler models is on the transmission bell-housing.
It is above the starter, I had to remove the starter in order to get to the sensor.
After that it was a piece of cake.
1991 probably doesn't have a crank sensor, it probably has a reference in the distributor.
The 1999 Range Rover 4.6 liter engine crank shaft sensor is located on the back of the engine. The crank shaft sensor is behind the rear engine cover.

The crank shaft sensor is located on the bottom portion of the timing cover to the left of the crank pulley. Look for two wire harnesses and remove them along with the bolt.

NEW ANSWER: The crank sensor is behind the starter, and you will need to remove the starter to see it and to change it. The V6 engines have the crank sensors in the timing cover. But the 5.3L is a V8.
i dont understand your question. but if you want to know if there is a crank sensor or something the anwer is no. since your car is an old model and it has distrubutor.
In through the top of the bell housing. It is behind the trans dipstick tube, behind the passenger head.
Trailblazer has a 6cyl engine the crankshaft position sensor is located on the left side of the engine toward the rear just above the oil pan. On a V8 the sensor is located in the lower part of the timing cover.
On a 4.6 litre V8 the sensor is locted on Front left lower side by the harmonic balancer. The A/C compressor will block your view fron the top. If you look from underneath you will see the sensor. If you replace the sensor you will have to move the A/C compressor.
