The 1988 Mitsubishi pickup truck data link connector is located on the bottom of the drivers side dashboard. The gauge link connector will be to the left of the steering column.
Should be right next to the fuel tank underneath the truck bed.
Get under your truck, the starter is going to be where the bellhousing of the tranny meets the motor. you'll see where it is as there will be an irregularity in the bell housing.

The heater valve is located behind the dash above and to the right of the accelerator pedal. The heater core is right beside it. It is operated by a linkage to the slider on the heater control panel.
The oil pump is not located in the comon location which is above the oil pump. Its located behind the water pump and timing chain cover. Probably the most expensive time consuming place to put it.
There is a reset button on the back of the light. Not easy to get to. You have to remove the inst. cluster. Taking the speedo cable is the hardest, but if you can reach it from the back, pinch the lever on the top of the connector and it will come off.
when my 89 mighty max did this I had to push the tailgate in while I opened the handle. Once open adjust or graphite the connections
the location of the connector for setting the timing is located behind the glovebox on this truck not on the firewall as with older efi trucks
