The daytime running light module on a 1996 Ford Explorer can be found behind the bumper. It is on the driver's side of the car.

1991 cavaliers did not come with the option of daytime running lights they first appeared in 1995 as standard on 1996 models.

I have the same problem on my Tahoe and I was told that if the green indicator light is on and all the fuses are good that it is either the module or the diode. I'm not sure where the module is but the diode I found under the dash. It looks like a small finned heatsink.
We had the same problem with our 1999 and it turned out it is actually behind the ashtray in the dash. Hope this helps, Christine
Gas engine, it is inside the fuel tank, part of the pump module. Diesel, it is on the driver side of the block
The daytime running light module is a finned(for cooling) box about 2"x2"x3" big located behind lower dash, just left of the ash tray, it will be easier to work with if you remove the trim panel directly below the steering coloumn(7mm head)
If you are referring to the daytime running lamps (DRL) on Canadian Explorers not turning off when the parking brake is engaged, I believe that is a defective DRL module.
