The most important barriers to the US being a democracy is the fact that We the People rarely vote for small things, and the fact that we don't vote at all. In a democracy, every decision the government makes will be voted on, and the peoples' votes will be added up and a decision will be made. Here in the US, we have offical morons who vote for us, and their votes are not effected by what We the People vote for. At least it seems like it....

In an indirect democracy, decisions are made through elected representatives who act on behalf of the people. These representatives gather input from their constituents, debate legislative proposals, and ultimately vote on laws and policies. The decision-making process involves a balance between representing the will of the people and using their own judgment and expertise.
Decisions were made by a majority vote in a state.
The Supreme Court requires a simple majority vote for a decision. If all nine justices are present, the closest possible vote would be 5-4.
Democracy is pure and alone the possibility to vote. A decision made on the most popular vote, i don't know if there's away to be more democratic. Maybe by putting more things to a vote?
