depends on the brand of frezzer .......either behind the plastic( panel/wall) in back off freezer could be at the top or the bottom on the side your ice maker would hook up..... or under the panel in the top of your refidgerator......if its just a stand alone frezzer there again it depends on the model i suggesst you try and follow the wires from the start cap on the comp for the freezer

∙ 15y agoThe defrost timer is located behind the light diffuser in the refrigerator part of the unit, in very old units it is located behind the toe plate in the front of the unit, if you are replacing it you have to have a lot more letters and numbers than what you supplied in this question.

∙ 11y agoIt's under the refrigerator, behind the grill. Pull out the grill, to the right of the condenser coils, there'll be a pinkish knob. That's the timer. You'll need to unscrew the panel holding it to get it out.

More than likely its the defrost timer or the defrost heater. You can try and advance the timer which is usually located at the top of the refrigerator compartment. Its usually a small round circle with a slot in the middle. Take a slotted screwdriver and advance it till you hear it click then stop advancing it. This more than likely is defrost mode. It should kick on the defrost heater. Listen closely if you can hear the heater kicking on and sizzling the ice. If you do advance the timer to run after about 1/2 an hour and repeat the process until the ice is gone. If this works then the timer is defective and needs replaced. If this process doesn't work then the defrost heater is probably defective.
