I'm not a mechanic / technician but I believe the degas bottle is an engine
coolant reservoir that has the pressure cap / radiator cap screwed on top
( instead of having a radiator cap on the radiator )
In the case of a Lincoln LS :
It is in the engine compartment , on the drivers side of the engine
compartment , near the firewall ( you will see a hole in the " trim "
that allows you to see the reservoir " cap "
