It is on the very rear of the differential case. Think of it as nearly in front of your feet when sitting in the driver's seat. Many posts erroneously say that the differential and trans share the same fluid. Not true. My car was given to me and I put a new engine in it. It bugged me that no fluid came out when I pulled the axles. I went ahead and replaced the seals. Anyway, I found that there is a plug and that it took nearly 3/4 of a quart of dexron to fill it up. So.... it was 1/2 empty! I didn't have a metric socket big enough but a 15/16th socket fit fine. Good luck

How disconect the alarm tercel 95
where do you find the filling plug for the gear oil on a 1993 Toyota tercel
Stalling under what conditions?
It has no differential plug.
The rear differential plug is located on the inside top part of the differential. Where the drive shaft connects.
The fill plug is on the end of the differential. To access this, you will need to crawl underneath your car, and lok at the middle of the axle. There are two plugs on the differential; a drain and a fill plug. The Fill plug is obviously the plug closer to the roof of the car.
The spark plug gap for a 1990 Toyota Tercel 1.5 liter 1BL 4-cylinder is .044 in thousandths of an inch. The 1990 Tercel gets 30 mpg in the city, and 36 mpg on the highway.
If its like the 93 tercel, you open hood, and its tucked in the back right corner.

It may need a heater core.
That involves removing the axles the tranny. I just replaced the clutch and tranny on my 95 tercel and it's not fun.
Don't know about 97 but my 95 Tercel with 5EFE gets between 42 to 44 mpg
