The 2012 Ford Focus has a 5-speed manual.
Transmission fluid ATF DW1 use 7.43 litres of transmission fluid
Same place you check the fluid level.
There is a twist & remove dip stick underneath the air filter housing. The air filter housing has to be removed to see it.
There isn't a reservoir. Fluid goes directly into the transmission housing.
You do not need to worry about that. Toyota uses stable transmission fluid that can last way pass 150K miles. Unless you have problems with the transmission, you do not need to worry about it.
Fluid is added down the dipstick tube. The dipstick is a dealer special tool though.
The 2012 Ford Focus has a dual-clutch automatic transmission - this is basically a manual transmission that shifts automatically (more efficient, but also much different from your modern day automatic transmission). Because of this, as you hit the breaks, the car doesn't really coast in neutral - it downshifts through every gear. I myself have a 2012 Ford Focus. The transmission needs about 500-1000 miles to break-in the clutch. In addition, the transmission has fuzzy logic that adapts to your style of driving. You will notice that after that first 1000 miles or so, this won't be as noticeable. -Nick

It is a special tool that only the dealer has. You can not check the fluid yourself.
It requires a special tool, the dipstick, and a scan tool to read fluid temperature. The dealer or a transmission repair shop would be the places that have the necessary equipment.
