It sits in a tube sticking out of the left side of the block between #5 & #7 cylinders.

The chevy 350 engines were produced in production models of Chevy between 1968 until 1998. It was used in several Chevy models such as Chevrolet Camaro and Chevrolet corvettes.
Older engines have the dipstick on the driver's side. There is a hole in the side of the block between 5 & 7. Newer ones have the dipstick tube in the passenger side of the oil pan.
