There is no actual "distributor" in the classical sense. Instead, there is an "ignition control module", an electronic device that is controlled by the ECU, and sends the firing impulses to the coil to fire the appropriate spark plugs at the proper times. (Yes, I know, this is a grossly simplified description, but I really don't want to write a book here!)
