The drain is right under the radiator....if standing directly in front of the car looking down at the engine, the radiator plug is located right in front of the radiator facing the engine. I believe you twist it clockwise, use your hand or gently with a pliers, it is a white plaster screw plug, can't miss it. If trying to open it from the bottom, you might have to remove a plastic cover from beneath, or a metal cover too.

Drain coolant, disconnect the battery. Disconnect the coolant line, replace the thermostat with a new one. Do not forget to replace the gasket too. Reconnect the line. Refill coolant, connect the battery.
