i would not say good for them but i have had Arthritis for years and damp weather brings it on worse.
The answer to this would probably vary with the individual. I have suffered with RA since I was about 8. I have lived in -20C climate in extremely hot humid climates and in very dry climates and have found that there was no difference that I could notice one way or the other. However there are people that claim the onset of a weather change brings on arthritic pain, and I believe them. The best thing to do, if you are able is try to spend a bit of time in a dry climate and see if you can notice a difference.
Actually it is good if they live in dry & HOT climates, like the desert southwestern U.S.
Arthritis feels much better with heat and pains awfully with cold. If you have arthritis and live in a cold climate, invest in a heating pad.
I Suffer from Rheumatoid arthritis and have found that the climate I find my self in makes no difference whatsoever to the symptoms of my condition. Hot , cold , humid, wet or dry, I experience the same things. IE I have experience flare ups under all kinds of atmospheric conditions. I must admit however that if I experience a flareup in cold weather the body tends to be a Little more tense as a result of the cold. This makes pain a bit more keen. so to overcome this I have learned to relax the muscles. It is also good in a dry climate because you can get a lot of exercise. It can strengthen your joints and decrease pain too.
You could move to Broken Hill in western NSW Australia, it's dry as a bone there.
The best climate for sufferers of osteoarthritis is a warm, dry climate, but also one that does not experience extremes of temperature. A place like Broken Hill would be inadvisable as the winter nights are very cold. Ideally, find a climate that is dry and temperate, withour extremes.
I have suffered from RA since I was nine and have been in all kinds of climates from icy snow covered winters to the dry desert climate in outback Australia and in constantly hot humid climates. I have found throughout that it make no difference one way or the other where you are. Your peace of mind probably has more to do with it.
There is no definite evidence that it is.

Yes. Famotidine does not dry out the bone. There is some debate about whether or not famotidine can cause thinning of the bone. In the many studies of famotidine bone loss was not a factor in long term use of the drug. There was around a 1 percent occurrence of bone thinning but during that period of time it would not be unusual to have that many people in general showing bone thinning.
Arizona is a good place to live if you have arthritis because it is dry and the climate is not to high.

Because the climate is dry and hot and there's lots of hilly lands where people cant get to .... but its mostly because the climate is hot and there's not good supply of water.
The Mormons didn't really 'choose' a dry climate, they wanted to find a place that very few people wanted to live in order to be free to practice their faith, and it just so happened that it was a harsh, dry climate.
