right underneath the thermostat housing.
Trouble code P0128 means: ECT Sensor Below Thermostat Regulating Temperature
right below the thermostat housing, ie follow the upper radiator hose (black) until it hits top of engine.
I have a Grand Vitara 2.0td 2004. The ECT is under the alternator on the left side of the engine
they have ect and cht which is cylinder head temp. the one in the right front of head is the CHT sensor
Unless you have had anything replaced,i.e. ball joints, ect everything should be sealed

In the cylinder head, check richpin06a on YouTube for further information.
Follow the upper radiator hose to the engine, look to the side of where the hose attaches. The sensor is there.
It should be located very close to the thermostat housing.
