An atom is made of a core + electrons .The core is made of positive charges held together by neutral charges. The electrons, negative charges, orbit round it.

If there is 5 positive charges in the core, 5 electrons would orbit around it. Otherwise it's not called an atom anymore, but a ion.

Do you mean "Where"?

Electrons are a part of the atom, therefore, the answer to your question "When" is that electrons always reside in an atom. However, if you mean "where," an atom contains Protons and Neutrons in its Nucleus, and the Electrons reside in what is commonly referred to as an "electron cloud" outside of the nucleus.

In the energy levels (orbitals) that orbit around the protons and nutrons.

This is also called the electron cloud.

The first energy level can only hold 2 electrons, the second can hold uo to 8, and the rest go in the third and there's usually none left over after that.

The electrons on the outer level are called valence electrons.

The electron is located in the electon cloud around the nuclues. some people may say a cloud but it is a electron cloud. hope this helps. Also You can add clouds to make a electron2 cloud

It is indeed true and these reside around the atom, away from the nucleus

What is the name of the positively charge particles in the center of an atom?

The three main particles in an atom are the protons, neutrons and electrons. Electrons orbit around the atoms where the others 'reside' in the center. Protons are positively charged where neutrons have no charge.

What is the name of the positively charged particles in the center atom?

Where are the protons and neutrons is an atom found?

Atoms are composed of three types of particles: protons, neutrons, and electron. Both the protons and neutrons reside in the nucleus. Protons have a positive (+) charge, neutrons have no charge they are neutral. Electrons reside in orbitals around the nucleus. They have a negative charge (-).
