On the 2.2L(2200), the oilstick is built in as part of the cap that you would remove if you were putting oil in the car. This cap is located on the side of the motor, right behind the radiator.
The transmission dipstick on a 1994 Pontiac Sunfire is located on the left side of the engine. It connects to the transmission via a long tube which also allows for adding transmission fluid.
The transmission dipstick is located about 1.5-2ft from the fender on the drivers side, about at the back of the engine, in front of the windsheild/firewall.. it's sometimes yellow, or black. it's also pointing upwards at an angle
In the center rear of engine.
There is no distributor cap on a Pontiac sunfire, only a coil pack. coil pack is located on the back of the engine.
My '96 has a dipstick. It's located near the firewall on the driver's side of the engine. Look down and inboard from the brake master cylinder. At some point, Pontiac, in their ultimate wisdom, decided to do away with the tranxaxle dipstick. Your car may or may not have one.
WHERE is the timing mark on Pontiac sunfire 2.2l
Your Sunfire has two coil packs, located on the back side of the engine as viewed from the front of the car. Find a spark plug wire and follow it back.
On the oil pan near the top. Under the engine. About middle of the car.
on the rear of the engine just below the coils
If memory serves, it's on the front, straight down from the radiator. I think you can see it from the engine bay.
Not usually. The dipstick is used to check the oil level. Oil is added where the oil filler cap is - usually located on the valve cover and will screw counterclockwause for removal. That is unless you are talking about transmission fluid in which case the dipstick hole is the same place where you add fluid. On the Sunfire/Cavalier 2.2 engine YES you do add the oil and check the oil in the same place the dipstick is attached to the oil cap.
The PCM is located in the right corner of the engine compartment under the air cleaner assembly and bolted to the chassis.
