It is a relay but I am unable to locate it. Any idea of where it would be? There are 4 or 5 relays under the hood at the fire wall on the passenger's side. You won't miss them. I know one of them is for the fan but you might as well change all of them. They're easy to replace.
Follow the wires from the fan. I believe its on the drivers side top of fender well.
REar side of radiator approx. 1/3 from the top
Not 100% sure, but try starting the fan, open the hood and listen for it.
The 2000 Buick Regal cooling fan circuit relay switch can be found in the fuse box. The fuse box is located in the engine compartment.
If it's anything like my 1993 Skylark Custom 3.3L, it's in a bank of relays located toward the top of the firewall inside a protective black box. You may need to trim the mounting tab off a replacement relay to get it to fit in the box.
There is no radiator fan fuse. It is controlled by a relay in the CCRM.
On my 96 Century and 68 Eldo they mercifully put the fan, case, and motor under the hood, on the firewall, on the passenger side. It comes apart with probably a 1/4" socket or nut driver. I'd guess it's the same on your car.
Have you replaced the heating core yet?
1. Check the fan fuse 2. Verify that the fan motor will run. (carefully jumper with a wire from batt+) 3. Check out fan relay or have checked by a technician.
Check the fan's fuse in the fuse box. it may be a bad one.
Check against the firewall on passenger side--plastic cover may have to be removed
I had the same problem with my 90 buick century, Replacing the temperature sensor did the trick, it is located above and behind the water pump.
