The firewall on any vehicle is the panel separating the engine compartment from the passenger compartment. On a Dakota (and any other front engine vehicle) it pretty much goes from the bottom of the windshield to the floorboards, fender to fender, at the back of the engine compartment.

The fuel pump relay on a 1988 Dodge Dakota truck is located in the engine compartment, near the fire wall. It is contained in a water tight box which houses a number of relays and fuses.

yes it has one and it is the porceloin block on the fire wall.
I belive it is located down under the dash on the passenger side. the older dakotas where mounted on the passenger side of the fire wall. a blower motor resister is usually located close to the actual blower motor.
I HAVE A 1998.5 AND THE MAP SENSOR IS LOCATED DIRECTLY BEHIND THE FUEL FILTER BOWL, ON THE DRIVER SIDE, NEAR HE FIRE WALL. HOPE THIS HELPS.
