there isn't just one freeze plug. there should be at least 6 to 8 freeze plugs. there should be 3 on each side of the blocks 3.1 or 3.8. and there should be 2 on the rear of the motor. have to take the tranny out to get to these. pretty sure there are not any on the front of the motor. but not 100% sure.
That would be the first spark plug up front on the drivers side head.
There is a freeze out plug behind it that seals the water jacket up. REPLACE freeze plug.
