At the front of the engine block. You might be able to access it by removing the grille and radiator, or you might have to remove the engine. There'll be specific torque measurements involved, so make sure you have a good torque wrench, on top of the other tools you'll need.
If you really insist on trying to DIY this, I'd strongly recommend you at least buy a Haynes or Chilton manual and read up on this procedure. If you don't even know where it's located, I can't help but question your abilities to replace it.
It is on the front of the crank shaft. It seals the oil at the crank pulley.
There is one on each end of the crankshaft. The front main seal is at the pulley and, while the rear main is at the transmission end.
The front main is behind the crank pulley. The rear main is behind the flexplate/flywheel. The trans has to be removed to access this one.
5-6 hours
The main difference is in the length of the vehicle, the Grand Caravan (Long Wheel Base) being longer than the regular Caravan (Short Wheel Base). For example the 2001 to 2007 models, the SWB: is 113.3 in (2,878 mm) long and the LWB is 119.3 in (3,030 mm) long.
It's on the drivers side, between the battery and the right fender.
You probably need to replace the crankshaft seal
I've found this site VERY helpful and in great detail. You can get prices and step by step instructions..good luck http://www.autozone.com
