in the front of the carbuerator, directly behind the fuel inlet line- note which way filter is installed as reversing it makes engine inoperative
Remove the retaining ring from the top of your 1979 Chevrolet C 10 pickup truck ignition switch. Slide the ignition switch out and remove the wiring harness.
A 1979 Chevrolet pickup does not have a timing belt, it has a timing chain. The chain will last the life of the engine and is normally replaced during an engine overhaul.
It is mounted under the drivers side of the truck in the frame rail.
In the fuel tank.
It is inside the distributor.
Located on the carb. Remove the air cleaner and between the ignition coil & the distributor you will see the fuel line going to the carb. Between the rubber line & the carb is the filter (screws into the carb). Two options, long & short filter.
I use Fram PA 6 but any size 6 oil filter should work
Get under the pickup and trace the fuel line. I don't remember if it is under the vehicle or under the hood. You just have to look. A 2nd opinion could be:I have 1979 Toyota and the fuel filter is in the engine compartment -passenger side -next to air cleaner.Following the fuel line will find it anyway
In the carburetor.
It's at the carburetor.
a 1979 chevrolet 350 engine and others i know i have one and it fits it
== == If it's a manual it has no filter. If it's an automatic it's on the bottom. Pull the pan on the bottom of the tranny and it will be directly above. Inside the transmission.
