should be driverside frame rail(bout even with the t-case i believe).. easy to get too, I'm guessing... my 94 is very easy... yours should be too.

There is no filter in a manual tranny. if you have an automatic there is still no removable filter in it.
OK, you do have an owner's manual do you not? Open it and I am sure the location of the cartridge filter is listed in the manual. It does not have a screw on filter and the filter is located under the hood, under a plastic cover.
Is it manual or auto. If auto drop the pan with all the screws on it. If a manual then there should be a large bolt that says drain on it.
