You'll need The rear wheel support(s) need to be jacked up, ( always add a safety stand) The external GM "can" Fuel filter is near the passenger side rear wheel cross member , 6" from the coil spring..between the spare tire well and the fuel tank. There is a semicircular metal clip keeping it in place and the outbound end has a "back nut" and steel line, the in-let has a nylon quick disconnect ( which depending on corrosion may not disconnect nor be quick) My '92's nylon quick disconnect is easily squeezed with 2 small screwdrivers, however the filter backnut ( 20mm as 3/4 doesn't seem to fit) and 5/8" fitting will be a challenge , as they are still seized up after soaking with penetrating oil. My filter may just have to stay on a bit longer or if the steel line twists even with 2 wrenches, I've already bought a 3/8" OD x12" steel line and connector and bending tool, although I'm no expert on how to rejoin a replacement filter and steel line safely to the original line w/o reflaring & adding a new union while upside down. There is also the internal "cigar" shaped filter at fuel pump base intake and no doubt a filter inside or at the EFI throttle body...
