The fuel filter is located underneath the vehicle right next to the fuel tank. The actual filter body itself is smaller than your fist (black plastic cylinder) but there are also three lines attached to the filter. Everything is made of plastic and the lines are easy to remove because of the quick disconnect fittings. The three lines coming off the filter are different lengths so it's hard to connect the wrong ones, plus they are color coded. One tip I can give you on replacement is to loosen at least one of the straps that hold the tank in place. This gives you enough room to disconnect and reconnect the one fuel line that is vertical. That is the only tricky one. P.S. disconnect the battery and open the fuel door before doing anything- and wear goggles- you will get sprayed with gas!
