In the worst possible place. The fuel filter is actually under the plenum, and as far as I know the only way to get at it is to remove the aforementioned plenum (not a quick job). You can access it through the left fender. First raise the left front tire and place a jack stand under for support. Remove wheel and rasie the rubber curtain that is located in the fender well. You should be able to see the filter through the fender. Hope that helps.
