driver side near the rear of the car on underneath the car to change it you might want to invest in either some ramps or a car lift

The fuel filter is located at the rear of the gas tank and can be replaced without much hassle. Unfortunately, the fuel pump is located in the tank itself.

I had that issue with my 2002 @ 45k it turned out to be the catalitic converter (if that's how you spell it)
