I know that it is located along the rail of the frame, under the passenger side of the truck. It may be hidden by the frame, so getting the truck up in the air will help. Also, if you're having trouble finding it, follow the gas lines from the tank towards the front of the truck, don't ignore the bits hidden by undercarriage framing as they may also hide the filter. Tammy It is on the firewall on carb models. and on efi model it's located under the intake on the side of the engine passenger side. Davalley

Diesel, on side of the engine. Gas, inside the fuel tank.
to answer your question. the fuel filter on a 1992 Toyota pickup is on the passenger side of the truck bolted to the block. If you look right up under the fender on the passenger side on the block you should see it.
If your truck is a 1992 be it a 22re or a V-6 then it is fuel injected. All fuel injected Toyota trucks have the fuel pumps located in the fuel tank.
