On my 2004 Cavalier it is in front of the gas tank under the body. If you put the car up on ramps or stands and get under it from the back it is easily visable.
I just changed one today (5/28/05) on a 2002 Cavalier. A few feet from the end of the car, located in the middle (basically right after the trunk). To change it is pretty easy if you take the plastic clips sort of off (this gave me LOTS of trouble but now I can take off this end in 2 seconds). Just pinch the plastic clip (green on my car) & then push the platic clip almost out. Then pull that side out (watch out - you will have gas come out). Then unscrew the other side. I had to take off another part to unscrew this side because of little room. Also - BEFORE you start - take off the gas cap, jackstand the car & I also removed the fuel pump fuse (located in the engine, driver side).
i need to find location of fuel filter on 1993 Chevy cavalier
in the fuel tank
The fuel filter is located just above the rear axle.
Behind the gas tank.
It is located right above the rear axle.
look in front of the gas tank
It is located behind the gas tank in the rear of the car.
you have to take the gas tank off to get to it and if you need to replace the fuel filter they have to be spechial orderd.
The fuel filter is located at the rear of the gas tank and can be replaced without much hassle. Unfortunately, the fuel pump is located in the tank itself.
The fuel filter is located directly behind the rear axle cross member in the center in front of the fuel tank, very easy to change out.
located in front of rear axecel passanger side
Usually underneath near the back axle.
