The fuel filter should be right in the carburetor, remove the fuel line nut and the line (or clamp and hose). There is a larger nut that the fuel line goes into, that is your fuel filter. Just unscrew it from the carburetor There maybe a in-line filter as well, it will be between the fuel pump on the engine (lower drivers side of block on v8) and the carburetor.
The fuel filter screws directly into the carb, or could possibly be inline of the fuel line.

According to one of Fords websites : For a 1967 Ford Galaxie , 6.4 liter / 390 cubic inch V8 engine : ( the spark plugs are gapped at .035 inch )
In the 1967 Chevrolet Impala, the fuel filter is located where the fuel line enters the carburetor. The fuel filter is a cartridge type and is small in size. Note the position of the filter and tension spring when removing to be sure it goes back together the same way.

Remove fuel tank Remove fuel pick up and sender assembly.
no. the air filter is to filter air, while the fuel filter is used to filter the fuel.
I have a 1967 Galaxie 500 with a 390 and it takes 10W-30. Hope this helps!
Drain the fuel from the fuel tank. Remove the fuel line from the fuel filter. Remove the fuel filter plate. Remove the fuel filter retaining bolts. Reverse the process to install the new fuel filter.
If your talking about the fuel filter it's basically a filter to filter out partials in your fuel system.
