I have a 1985 celica GT and the fuel filter is located above the oil filter on the engine block. If the ST model has a 22re engine it should be the same.
Answer . It is inside of the fuel tank. Your fuel filter, fuel pump and fuel screen are one unit. They can be bought and replaced separately. So don't go out and buy the whole assembly. Yes...you can do it yourself. Not that complicated.
Answer . \nRemove the center plastic cover under the car and you will see the filter next to the oil pan. The plastic push pins come off fairly easy using 2 small screwdrivers and prying the center out from the slots.
"Under the back seat" Clarification to previous answer. Actually, the fuel pump is mounted in the top of the fuel tank, located under the back seat. The fuel pump does have a filter screen that may need to be replaced if the care has been setting and the fuel has becomes old (varnished) or if bad f…uel (water or sediment) has been added. The actual fuel filter is under the hood, driver's side fender well, under the recirculation canister. It is best to jack up the car on the driver's side, remove the front wheel, to give the best access to the in-line fuel filter. ( Full Answer )

Answer Up until the early 1990's the Toyota Celica GT was powered by a 2.2 Liter engine, which produced 110 horsepower. The GTS from that period had a 2.4 liter engine that produced 135 horsepower. ANSWER: Not sure about the '90's Celicas but in the late '80's, all Celicas had a 2 liter engi…ne with the GT-S having a little bit more powerful engine. The horse power ratings given above are correct though. The GT-S models also have more convenience options. Also usually bigger tires. ANSWER: 83 and 84 had the 2.4l 22R, while the 85 had the 2.4l 22RE. Aluminum Engine, the Achilles heel of which is that the head bolts came under-torqued... leading to many a blown head-gasket. Celica's between 2000 and 2005 were 1.8 liter for the GT, and 1.8 litre for the GTS. The GTS featured a more powerful engine with "lift", a 6 speed transmission, and 4 wheel disk brakes. While the GT had less power, a 5 speed transmission, and drum brakes in the back. The GTS typically had a better sound system, although the sound systems was an option available on certain GT models. Also 2000 to 2002 GT engines had common oil burning issues that were corrected for the 03 models. ( Full Answer )

$500 to less than a thousand dollars. I wouldn't even buy it unless you find out something like its only owner was a little old lady who drove it infrequently. If a young person is trying to sell it, they are probably trying to get rid of it because it has problems. There is only about a 50% chance …that it is reliable. Good deals have been known to exist so keep a sharp eye out, but be prepared to have money to make repairs to it if you do buy it. It's always good to spend some time thinking it over before you make the decision. If you are a young person, they are notorious for making mistakes when buying used cars. They get too excited at the first car they see. Most people don't ovecome that until they have been burnt a few times. So take it slow. Look at a few cars before you buy. Good luck. (Geez, I guess you could be selling the car???) ( Full Answer )

The rest I do not know. What I cant figure out is if I pry off the top tin cover? Good luck. ( Full Answer )

i need to get my car out of a parking lot down the street and install a fuel filter shes really glogged if ya know what i mean
The fuel filter is located on the driver's side of the engine compartment just below the master cylinder on the firewall. You'll need to remove the rubber air intake hose as well as the air filter box to access the top of the fuel filter. The top banjo bolt takes a 17mm socket. For access to the bot…tom you'll need to remove the drivers side wheel. There is a small access hole just about big enough for one hand to fit in there. You'll need a 14 or 15mm open end wrench. Once you have both fittings off unbolt the filter from the firewall by removing the two 10mm bolts. Bolt the new filter in place before connecting hoses. The new filter should come with two compression washers (brass colored) these go on either side of the banjo fitting on the top of the filter. It's a good idea to disconnect the battery before starting to prevent someone from turning the key and energizing the fuel pump. Hope this helps. ( Full Answer )

As on other vehicles the fuel filter is located on the fuel line leading from the fuel tank to the carburetor or in the case of a diesel engine, between the fuel tank and before the injection pump. If the truck is a diesel, there are actually two filters, one for heavy slag and water and another fin…e mesh filter for small particles. The fuel filter on the diesel truck is located at the panel behind and above the engine, and so is the heavy slag filter right beside it. Remove with a special instrument (filter wrench) and replace with a new filter every 50.000 miles at least. Tighten new filter by turning one and a half turning after the filter begins to show a little resistance to the turning movement. Buy only genuine Toyota filters, no-brand name filters are not as safe. ( Full Answer )

Round black canister about 8" underneath your stock intake piping, bolted to the metal around the driver's side strut assembly.
I would start by checking any leaks in your exhaust and fuel filter area, if there is any leaks throughout the exhaust the smell of gasoline or exhaust may come through into the interior.

The fuel filter is located on the driver side rear of the engine compartment, near the charcoal canister. I don't know exactly how this one is mounted but I'm guessing that it is bolted on so you will need some flare wrenches. These help you to not round off the fittings.

Assuming you're referring to the 1994-99 celicas, the ST has a 114 hp 1.8 engine, while the GT has a 147 hp 2.0 engine. There may also be differences in standard equipment level, but anything dropped from the ST will have been available as an option.\n
It is in the engine compartment drivers side near the fender well it's best to take off the tire and you'll see it under the egr canister.

The fuel filter is located on the drivers side under but close to the air filter and the brake master cylinder.
It is located in the fuel tank. Removing one now, 8-29-11, in process. Removing tank can be a bit*&.
The fuel filter is in an incredibly inconvenient location just above a motor mount on the drivers' side of the engine. It's behind the stabilizer bar that goes from the engine block to the throttle body. If you're going to remove it, I'd recommend first removing the 17mm bolt on the top that attache…s it to the hard line which goes to the fuel rail. Then remove the 14mm bolts which attach the filter bracket to the engine block. Then brace the now loose filter against a flat surface in the engine bay so you can remove the bottom 17mm bolt. Now you can remove the old filter from the bracket. Follow the above instructions in reverse to install. Be careful when installing not to bend the hard lines (I've made that mistake before, and it's not fun to fix), ie. Use a wrench on both sides and an assistant, if necessary. ( Full Answer )
