Hey I had the same problem with my Volvo 740 GL and it turned out to be the fuel filter. Have the fuel filter replaced and that should solve the problem, if not than it is probably something more serious like your fuel pump. If it's not the fuel system check the spark plugs. I hope this is helpful.
Drivers side, inside of frame about where the trailing edge of the drivers door is.
My sources say it is in a "basket" (fixed with three bolts) on the left side under the car, next to the fuel pump.
clogged fuel filter causing back pressure on the pump making it draw too much amperage.
in the fuel tank? just a wild guess.
