It's on the firewall, underneath your brake master cylinder. Kind of a pain in the neck to get to, but it's not an impossible job. Just be sure to take your gas cap off before you start. This will relieve the pressure on the system. Keep in mind, you WILL get some gas on you, but this can't be avoided. If you wrap a towel or rag around it, you can keep it to a minimum. The fuel filter is located on the drivers side frame rail just in front of the rear tire. Definately remove the gas cap to relieve system pressure. Disconect the lower hose first, this will allow you to take the 1 bolt loose that releases the strap that holds the filter in place. Once this bolt is out the strap should come loose. You should then be able to drop the filter and disconect the top hose. It's allot harder to disconect the hoses than it is to reconnect them. Use a pair of needle nose pliers to move the hose clamps around. Good luck, James

The fuel filter on my 1993 Metro LSI convertible is on the left hand frame near the fuel tank. Right by the strut.
