You will have two different fuel filters. Your primary filter is located on your frame rail (drivers side). Just follow your fuel lines back to about half the distance of your truck. Loosen the screw with an allan key to release any pressure (have a bucket ready), and turn the cap off. Its not that easy. I found that my primary wasn't even dirty but changed it anyways. The second is ontop of your engine. Can't miss it. The two pieces with black caps. The bigger one is your oil filter and the smaller one is your secondary fuel filter. MAKE SURE YOU USE THE RIGHT SIZE SOCKET. Don't use a half inch drive like I did (It broke with ease due to temperature stresses and weathering). Make sure not to drop anything in there either and clean out anything that is in there.
on the top of motor round black housing
Either manually pump fuel from the fuel tanks to the fuel filter, or else open up the fuel filter, and pour some diesel fuel directly into it.

In 2004 GM moved the fuel filter from the frame to the gas tank. INSIDE OF IT. In 2006 all non-diesel Chrysler products had the fuel filter inside the fuel tank.
The Ford F350's take diesel fuel in most instances unless they have been modified to take regular fuel. Be sure to check your owners manual to see which kind of fuel your truck takes.
Gas engine : it is in the fuel tank. Diesel : it is on the driver side of the engine.
