Fuel Filter Location The fuel filter is located along the frame rail under the vehicle and is accessible only from underneath the vehicle. Fuel Filter Removal & Installation 1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. 2. Properly relieve the fuel system pressure. 3. Raise and safely support the vehicle securely on jack stands. 4. Remove the fitting safely clips by gently prying them off. Usually they are held to the fuel lines by small retaining straps, however take care not to lose them. 5. Insert fuel line disconnect toll T90T-9550-S into the quick-connect fittings on the fuel lines. 6. Push the tool into the spring lock coupling and release the garter spring and separate the fitting. Twisting the line sometimes aid in releasing stubborn connections. *** Caution *** Fuel will most likely run out of the line after it is removed from the filter. 7. Repeat the procedure for the other fuel line. 8. Grasp the fuel filter and carefully pull it straight out of the retaining clamp. To Install; 9. Push the filter into the retaining clamp aligning the front lip on the filter into the groove. 10. Attach the fuel lines to the filter until an audible click is heard from the connection. Sometimes the click is very quiet, so test the fitting by gently pulling on the line to see if it comes loose. 11. Attach the fitting safety clips by snapping hem into place over the fittings. 12. Lower the vehicle. 13. Connect the negative battery cable. 14. Start the vehicle and check the filter and lines for leaks.

threaded into the front of the carb. Follow the fuel line from the fuel pump to the carb.
most ford truck fuel filters are on the frame , drivers side near the gas tank.
That would be a bad fuel pump in that tank
The 2010 F150's do not have a conventional, replaceable fuel filter. I just bought a 2010, and the Owners Manual states that the filter is now in the gas tank, and Ford claims it is a "lifetime" filter. I think I will be tapping into my fuel line to add a replaceable filter. I don't like the idea of never changing a fuel filter. If it's designed to never clog, it isn't filtering enough.
under drivers side just past the a frame
that is a fuel filter
