Most car engine filter housings simply unscrew. That gives you access to the filter material - simply replace the filter with a new one, and screw the housing back on.
I had this problem before and it was the petrol sensor or a sensor by the filter. Or it could be your revers need turning down
how to change a air filter on a 307 sw
Depends on how you drive it, as does fuel consumption in any car. Stand on the throttle to get to next petrol station, and it won't last as long. Driving normally, you should get up to 50 miles - but don't push your luck!

most probabably particular filter fault. there should be a tank beside your fuel tank that takes an additive that is sprayed into the filter. Get it checked as the filter is about £600+ The additive is about £30 ! Do the maths ;)
