Where is fuel filter
fuel filter has to be changed every 8000 miles or sooner if it plugsup sooner
I would start with replacing the fuel filter if you haven't already done so. Then check the fuel pump.
The ECM on the Vandura 2500 is under the Driver's seat.
Its in the carb ,where the gas line connects.
I bought a set of GMC shop manuals off ebay for $40. It comes with the fuel system book, wiring diagrams, light duty trucks and vandura and rally book. They have saved me on a lot of labor $$$ having them.
crack in the electronic coil ,when it gets hot it will expand and ark and kill the engine
My 93' vandura has a 5.7 liter 350cubic inch engine.
I just drove from Ohio to Arizona with a 1989 GMC 2500 and averaged 15.5 mpg.
On the back of the motor next to the transmition.
Standard is 22 gallons.
my 1989 has a 25 gallon tank........just run it out and fill it up - see how much it holds
under the drivers seat area of truck inside the frame
.all I can say is my '92 2500 vandura has a 350 in and it does the job...don't know if all of 'em are the same size or not dt
If it's a gas engine, there's an inline fuel filter which runs alongside the frame rail. If it's the 6.5 Detroit Diesel, it's a spin on fuel filter.
You need to check the fuel pump.
The vent is blocked.
next to your frame on the passengers side underneath your rear axel
the fuel pump is inside the fuel tank. drop the tank then remove the round lock ring on the top of the tank and pull it out. just watch the edge of the hole. IT'S SHARP!!
