Depends on make, model, and year of the engine. Pre-SCR Cummins ISX engines have two suspended canister filters on the left side, with the secondary being threaded onto a housing inside of the frame rail, while the primary is further back and outside of the frame rail. SCRCummins engines will have a secondary fuel filter in a location near to where it is on the pre-SCR engines, while the primary is typically a fuel/water separator - normally of the Davco type, but a proprietary type may also be used (such as the PACCAR fuel/water separator) towards the firewall and outside of the frame rail on the left side of the engine. Earlier models of the PACCAR MX use a similar setup to SCR-equipped Cummins ISX engines, although the new models have internal fuel filters on the left side of the engine. Volvo engines have the secondary fuel filter below and on the left side of the engine, while the fuel/water separator may be either of the Davco type, and located towards the engine on the right side of the truck, or a proprietary type located immediately behind the secondary fuel filter.
Just a couple examples.
The average fuel economy of a semi truck is between 5 and 7 mpg when loaded.
Put some diesel fuel in the fuel filter before you start it - it'll save you a lot of trouble versus trying to manually prime the pump.
where is the fuel filter located on a 2002 Nissan frontier truck 4 cycle
The 1986 Chevrolet C10 pickup truck fuel filter is located inside of the fuel tank. The fuel tank will need to be removed in order to change the fuel filter.
fuel tank
A fuel pump siphons the fuel through hoses.
The fuel filter is on the passenger side of the engine under the intake
There is no serviceable fuel line filter on your truck. The only fuel filter is part of the fuel pump assembly in the fuel tank. Like a screen strainer. I had owned a 1998 Dodge Durango with the same setup.
The fuel filter is probally underneath bolted to the frame, the fuel line comes out of the gas tank and is secured to the inner part of the frame and the fuel filter should be bolted to the frame about the center of the truck.
Filter is built into the fuel tank and is part of the fuel pump. It is non-servicable.
bleed the fuel and then start or manualy fill the new fuel filter and then try it
The fuel filter is part of the pump module in the fuel tank.
