I HOPE THIS CAN BE SOME WHAT HELPFULL. IT IS IN THE FUEL TANK. I'M NOT A MECHANIC SO I HAD TO REPLACED IT MYSELF A COUPLE OF YEARS AGO. I REPLACED MINE THE HARD WAY BY REMOVING THE GAS TANK. SINCE I DON'T NORMALY HAVE THE BUCKS TO PAY A MECHANIC , I HAVE TO DO REPAIRS MYSELF AND NOT KNOWING THE PROPER WAY TO DO IT, IT WAS TOUCH AND GO. I DON'T KNOW THE TRUE PROPER WAY TO DO THE JOB WITH EASE AND IF LOWERING THE TANK IS REALY NECESSARY . HOPEFULLY SOMEONE READING THIS CAN HELP WITH ANY ADDITIONAL COMMENTS. THE PUMP SHOULD BE SOMEWHAT EASY TO REMOVE. IT'S LOCATED DIRECTLY ON THE BACK OF THE TANK. I DID'NT HAVE MUCH DIFFICULTY REMOVING IT. THE FUEL LINES HAVE FACTORY INSTALLED "QUICK DISCONNECTS" ON THE PUMP. ASK AN AUTO PARTS STORE CLERK ABOUT "QUICK DISCONNECTS" THEY MIGHT BE ABLE TO DESCRIBE HOW THEY ARE USED. NOTICE AND "REMEMBER" WHERE THE FUEL LINES ARE CONNECTED TO THE PUMP. LOOK CLOSELY AT IT AND YOU'LL NOTICE THAT YOU NEED TO REMOVE THE PUMP SORT OF LIKE A LIGHT BULB. THERE'S A COLLAR LIKE FLANGE YOU NEED TO LOOSEN TO EASE THE PUMP OUT. IF YOU NEED A LITTLE CLEARANCE IN ORDER TO EASE IT OUT, YOU "MIGHT" HAVE TO LOWER THE TANK A COUPLE OF INCHES OR LESS. SINCE I DIDNT KNOW THE PROPER WAY THIS IS HOW I DID IT. I USED A SISSORS JACK AND A FLOOR JACK "WITH A PIECE OF PLY WOOD TO HELP OUT ON THE WEIGHT OF THE TANK " TO RAISE/LOWER THE TANK WHEN I TIGHTENED IT BACK UP TO TAKE UP THE SLACK ON THE TANK STRAPS. TRY TO HAVE JUST A COUPLE OF GALLONS IN THE TANK. THE MORE EMPTIED IT IS, THE EASIER IT IS TO HANDLE. I HAD TO LOOSEN THE FUEL TANK FILLER PIPE ALSO. "INSIDE THE GAS LID LOCATED AROUND THE THROAT OF THE FUEL FILLER PIPE. THREE SCREWS" LUBRICATE THE STRAP STUD THREADS THOROUGHLY WHEN LOOSENING THE STRAP NUTS. MAKE SURE THE STRAP BOLT IS TURNING AND "NOT THE STRAP STUD" OR YOU COULD SNAP THE STUD. THE STRAP STUDS ARE WELDED TO THE CARS FRAME OR CHASSIS Answer... I did the same myself.... lowered the tank to the ground first. Everything was rusty and the bolts holding the straps snapped off. I ended up drilling a self tapping (tek) screw through the strap into the trunk to hold it in place... works well. The fuel line disconnects were also no longer functional.... I cut them... reatatched with rubber fuel line and hose clamps.
Located in fuel tank - may have to remove for access
The Dodge Dynasty was produced from the years 1988 to 1993. The wiring harness from the fuel pump to the battery in a 1989 Dodge Dynasty is located very close to the battery terminals.
Should be under the car just ahead of the passenger rear wheel
The fuel filter is located behind the fuel tank.
inside the fuel tank
There is no fuel pump inertia reset switch on any Chrysler vehicles.
Within the fuel tank. Tank needs to be removed.
Dodge doesn't use an inertia switch. It controls the fuel pump via a pcm actuated relay.
The fuel pump is located in the fuel tank. baxman_dan@hotmail.com
# It inside the gas tank you got to drop the tank to get to it
I believe that the fuel filter is located under the passenger side just before the rear tire.
It is inside the fuel tank. Tank has to be removed to access.
